New details about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game starring Ezio continue to trickle out. During their recent earnings call (via Videogaming247), Ubisoft confirmed the game’s location while dropping a couple hints regarding the multiplayer.

Billed as a continuation of Assassin’s Creed II, the new game will take place in Rome, where the Templars make their headquarters. Ezio will be tasked with striking at the heart of the organization.

As for the multiplayer, Ubisoft has identified the competitive element as “assassination mode.” They wouldn’t go into further detail, but they did say that new releases generally include cooperative multiplayer element. Wouldn’t be surprising if the new game allows Ezio to go rooftop jumping with a friend.

As a final note, the new game won’t tie into the recent DLC. We still don’t know much about the new title, but it should be arriving this fall. No comment from Ubisoft whether they’ll be doing this yearly.
