Front Mission Evolved Launching September 14

Square Enix has an official release date for the upcoming spinoff of the classic Front Mission series.

Created as an action-oriented alternative in a series best known for its strategy titles, Front Mission Evolved has been confirmed for September. It is being developed by western developer Double Helix Games, and will feature four multiplayer modes and the usual array of customization options.

We got a look at it during Tokyo Game Show, and posted our impressions here. Square Enix is planning a 3D release on the PC in addition to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

Look for it on September 14.
